Feeling Accomplished

Although I'm not supposed to post about it until Thursday, I actually woke up early today and got most of my freelance work done!!!!!! I'm so excited!! This is the first time in a long time. Too long to even mention. But, I forced myself to wake up early, and I did it.

I set my clock for 6 a.m., but I turned it off and went back to sleep. (So, I didn't quite meet the goal, but it's close.) I got up at 6:55 and read from the Bible, freshened up, and tackled my writing assignments. I got all of them done except one, when my son woke up.

Talk about feeling accomplished! Now, I don't have to try to stay up late tonight to get it done. What did I do differently? Well, I laid my son down around 9:30 p.m. last night. And, of course Princess was wide awake. I told her(not that she could understand) that I was going to sleep at 10 p.m., whether she wanted to or not.

At 10:15 I got in bed, and nestled her next to me and tried to nurse her to sleep. But, she wasn't interested, so I just let her lay next to me on her back, and I watched her. But, . . . then I fell asleep. And, I know I had to fall asleep before she did. I woke up again around midnight, and she was just laying there sleeping peacefully.

I couldn't believe that I just went to sleep like that, and that she went on too, without fussing. Not sure if I'll try that method again tonight, but boy did I get some good sleep.

Hopefully, I will be able to get up early each day this week and get things accomplished like I need to. It really makes me more productive and efficient for the day.
